We developed our origin from William Burke's love of woodworking and constructing things and his hands on favor of all things that involved making , building or changing the way something looked. He would build a tree fort 15 feet in a tree with pull down private door system on pulleys to allow keep the "enemy " from entering. The tree house would have real safety glass windows, sofa,chairs, drinks, pictures on the walls and with a view of a stream in the woods. Go carts with or without engines, dog houses, greenhouses, cages for animals, picture frames or just about anything that could be put together as a child would fill his days for enjoyment. During his college days in the 1970s, he would work part time for carpenters, painters and do work on his own not realizing that very soon he would be self employed starting and working as Burke Construction Company, which entered into business in 1979. The business started in the basement of his parents home, using his family's home phone number for customers to call. After a few months of trying to "share" a phone line with his 3 siblings and parents, he took the phone number as Burke Construction's and had a new number installed for his family. The same phone number is still used today.

During the last 40 years, we take pride in knowing that repeat customers and word of mouth advertising has been our main method to produce new projects. The majority of our projects are within the local Harford County area, though we also serve Baltimore and Cecil County.
The type of work that we do starts with simple home repairs, any type. There is no job too small for us. We provide excellent service and design capabilities to add on to your existing home, construct a new finished basement, kitchen, bath, and interior remodeling or simply paint a bedroom or laundry area. We also do roofing, siding, windows and all exterior surfaces. We will design and build porches, decks and exterior living spaces to accommodate your needs.
We use the finest materials available, and are very meticulous when it comes to selecting lumber and materials for your projects.
Pride is taken on each and every project to insure that it will remain beautiful and endure the test of time. We provide a full FIVE year warranty on all labor performed, where the Maryland Home Improvement Commission only requires that a contractor provide a one year warranty.
